Henry - are you hungry?

Henry and I graduated from obedience school - twice. The mom and dad thought a second eight weeks would insure that we were always well behaved. One thing I'm sure Henry didn't catch on to is that he is only supposed to eat his food.

Once, the dad brought in this twig to keep Henry busy and give him something to chew on.

I'm not sure how effective that was. Let's see, where does the list begin?
Henry ate the plantation shutter. We were just looking out the window to see the cars go by, and we had a perfect perch on the sofa table that sits in the bay window. I loved watching the cars and squirrels, until the mom came in and found out that while I had been watching, Henry had been chewing on the shutters. They gated off the living room.

Then he went on a shoe kick. The latch to the bedroom closet was a little loose, and Henry would sneak in and choose a shoe to chew on for the day. He especially loved black boots. I think the last count was 16 pairs of shoes and boots. They put a very strong latch on the closet.

There were a couple of unusual things. The rocking chair in the den. Who eats a rocking chair? And some book that was for the mom's work. A teacher's manual? And people underwear - that's Henry's favorite. He'll raid the hamper or snatch it out of someone's hand as soon as they take it off. What a naughty puppy! I, on the other hand, am never naughty.

Well, there was that incident with the chicken wings....

  1. Abby says "Chicken wings?"! Mrs. Cooper is hilarious. Beautiful picture of the Cooper's!
